Review on Soft Computing-Based Controllers for Frequency Regulation of Diverse Traditional, Hybrid, and Future Power Systems

In recent decades the power system has become a complex network, to design load frequency control (LFC) requires solving equation. Optimisation techniques are essentially required optimise parameters of different controllers used for LFC issues in system. unified system, is examined from all angles using optimisation strategies conventional PI, PID, cascaded, and fuzzy as well recently designed controllers. This manuscript specifically reviews use soft computing regulation with single/multiple areas that include conventional, renewable, combinations both, FACTS devices certain energy storage such superconductor magnetic (SMES) battery sources. Furthermore, deregulated systems microgrids also considered study. To regulate under various disturbances generation rate constraints (GRC) dead band control, few additional approaches utilised. Models discussed analysed. addition, merits drawbacks studied techniques/structures address implementation issues—as relate problems—have been discussed.
